Terry's Take on the Brantford Real Estate Market

There is still a strong demand for the houses for sale in Brantford and we are still getting a lot of out-of-town Buyers, in addition to the local Buyers, who are looking for a home to purchase in Brantford and Brant County. However, we are seeing a lot of overpriced listings on the market right now because some of the Sellers don't want to admit that the crazy market from 1 year ago is gone so they're chasing the market and the longer it takes to sell the lower the price they will end up getting for their home. Of course most of those overpriced homes are simply not going to sell anyways. These overpriced listings are helping the listings that are priced properly and marketed aggessively to sell faster because they look even more attractive to the Buyers and to still sell for an excellent price, just not the irrational prices that we were getting a year ago.

In this market it's more important than ever to be working with realtor who's already been through a market like this since they will have the experience and experties to be able to help you with your move because on the buying side you will need a realtor who knows how to negotiate for you, and on the selling side the pricing and marketing for your home is extremely important if you want to maximize the sale price for your home and have a smooth transaction. Great marketing still sells homes! Click here to find out what your Brantford home is honestly worth in the current market.
